Connex Business Information division currently specializes in the following industry sectors: Institutional Investment and Asset Management, Human Resources and Benefits, Energy & Utilities and Healthcare. We will be launching new sectors in the following sectors: Legal, Marketing & Sales and Finance.
This position is ideally for suited for those with one to four years of sales experience who are looking to sell a unique business information solution to Director, Vice President and C-level executives from major organizations. You must be capable of engaging senior decision-makers over the phone and clearly articulating our unique value proposition set against the context of what the market currently offers.
To support our expansion we require two new client development managers in our business information services group. In this role, you will be responsible for recruiting senior decision-makers to become part of our memberships attend our programs.
The primary responsibility of the client development associate is engaging in high-level sales conversations via phone to decision-makers that have pressing issues and initiatives that require resolution through the procurement of new products and services. You will work to build relationships with our buy-side clients, thereby gaining a better understanding of the needs that each individual expects to address at our programs. The position will require limited travel within the US (up to 10 days per year). The ideal candidates will exhibit a "need to succeed," a high level of fearlessness, will not be easily frustrated and will be extremely goal orientated with a drive to advance quickly within the company. As you will be expected to find and qualify leads, you must be a tenacious researcher. To succeed in our organization, candidates must be able to build strong relationships both internally and externally. It is important to possess the ability to "work smarter" - getting more work accomplished with less time. Overall, you must display a hunger to learn and a strong work ethic.

Requirements

- Ability to excel at managing multiple tasks at one time, work to strict deadlines and perform in a high energy fast paced environment.
- The ability to strategically identify target audience and stay focused in placing outbound calls to achieve sales goals.
- Organized and analytical approach to research ideally with experience in self-generating sales leads.
Preferred Candidates would also meet the following criteria:
- College Degree.
- One or more years of sales experience preferred, although talented recent college graduates will also be considered.
- Conference experience or knowledge is a plus.
